Draft notice: This is a first draft prepared for review, not a finished legal document. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer or a compliance professional, and it must be before this page goes live. Every placeholder in [square brackets] needs a real value filled in first.
About These Terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Accounts Filing website and any service you engage us for, including tax filing, GST compliance, company registration, ROC compliance, and related advisory work. By engaging us for a service, you agree to these terms.
Our Services
Accounts Filing helps individuals and businesses across India with tax filing, GST compliance, company registration, and related regulatory work. We prepare, review, and file the documents your situation requires, and represent you before government authorities where that's part of the engagement — see our Disclaimer for more on how we work.
Our services are delivered entirely online — consultations, document exchange, drafts for your review, and filing updates are all handled over WhatsApp, phone, email, or video call. We do not offer in-person office meetings.
Engagement and Fees
Every engagement is quoted as a fixed fee, agreed with you before work begins, covering a specific, defined scope. Work outside that scope — for example, a new notice, a change in your situation, or additional filings — is quoted separately. Fees are payable as agreed at the time of engagement; we do not begin filing work before a fee is agreed.
Your Responsibilities
The accuracy of any filing depends on the information and documents you provide. You're responsible for giving us complete, accurate, and timely information and records; reviewing drafts we share with you before they're filed, and flagging anything that looks wrong; and meeting any deadline we communicate to you for providing documents, since a late filing caused by late documents isn't something we can always absorb.
Timelines and Government Processing
We control the timeliness and accuracy of our own work, but we do not control how quickly a government department or portal processes a filing, responds to a query, or issues an approval, refund, or certificate. Where we quote an expected timeline, it's based on typical processing times and is not a guarantee.
No Guarantee of Outcomes
We commit to preparing and filing your matter correctly and on time, to the best of our professional judgment. We do not guarantee a specific outcome — such as the approval of a registration, the amount of a refund, or the result of a notice reply or appeal — since these depend on the judgment of the relevant authority, not on us.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fee paid for the specific engagement giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for delays or errors caused by inaccurate or incomplete information you provided, or by government processing delays outside our control.
Confidentiality
We treat your financial and business information as confidential, and use it only for the purpose of the engagement — see our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data specifically.
Termination
Either party may end an ongoing engagement (such as a recurring GST or bookkeeping arrangement) with [notice period, e.g. 30 days'] written notice. Fees already earned for work completed up to that point remain payable.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in [City, State].
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continuing to use our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
